Production Method

1. Obtained by catalytic oxidation of o-xylene. Using o-xylene as a raw material and cobalt naphthenate as a catalyst, at a temperature of 120°C and a pressure of 0.245 MPa, o-xylene continuously enters the oxidation tower for air oxidation, and the oxidation liquid enters the Chemicalbook stripping tower for concentration, crystallization, and centrifugation. Get the finished product. The mother liquor is distilled to recover o-xylene and part of o-toluic acid, and then discharge the residue. The yield was 74%. Each ton of product consumes 1,300 kg of o-xylene (95%).

2. The preparation method is that the o-xylene is continuously oxidized with air in the presence of a cobalt naphthenate catalyst at a reaction temperature of 120-125°C and a pressure of 196-392 kPa in an oxidation tower to obtain a finished product.

Uses are mainly used in the synthesis of pesticides, medicines and organic chemical raw materials. At present, it is the main raw material for the production of herbicides. Uses o-methylbenzoic acid is the fungicide pyrrolidone, fenoxystrobin, trifloxystrobin and the herbicide benzyl The intermediates of sulfuron-methyl can be used as organic synthesis intermediates such as pesticide bactericide phosphoramide, perfume, vinyl chloride polymerization initiator MBPO, m-cresol Chemicalbook, color film developer and so on.
